Our Story

Francis Candle Co. was born from a desire to create something beautiful from the world around me. By trade, I'm a Registered Nurse - a profession rooted in caring for others, connection, science and compassion. After the pandemic, I found myself searching for a creative outlet, something that would allow me to slow down, reflect and express the emotions and experiences of the world around me. 

In 2021, I began making candles. 

 

What started as a personal creative journey soon became Francis Candle Co. - a small business inspired by the beauty found in everyday moments. Each candle is thoughtfully crafted to evoke a feeling, capture a memory, or simply create a little space to pause and breathe. 

 

For me, candle making is more than creating something that smells good. Its about storytelling, self-expression and creating moments of comfort and warmth. It's a way of turning what I see, feel and experience into something you can bring into your own space. 

 

Francis Candle Co. is a reflection of my journey - from caring for people as a nurse to creating moments of calm and connection through candlelight.
